History of Photocatalyst Evolution

In 1950, the discovery of photocatalysis was done by a Japanese inventor.

In 1972, Japanese professor Hujishima discovered water breakdown by TiO but
some problems were also found as below :

In Nov 2002, Professor Hiroshi of Japan National AIST broke the rules of prior limitation, and obtained international invention patent in 2007 about new GENERATION of Photocatalyst called Apatite Nano TiO2 solution. Breakthrough features :
1./ Active photocatalysting under weak, visible light and performs 4X faster than the prior arts ;
2./ Safe to human, surface / paint, decomposing organic odor, HCHO, NOx, and SOx ;
3./ Material and production cost reduced, and the product safe to human, pets, plants and marine ;
4./ Solvent / binder / pigment / microcapsule free ;
5./ Antibacterial, antivirus , antimold and odourless.
Currently, our SN-568 and MEK are the commercialised products from the National AIST and Produced by Nanowave in Japan.
